cycle
from happiness
beauty
beginnings
to shaky ground
from fall colors
not seen in years
to experiencing what
those leaves represent
from anticipation of the future
to anticipation of an ending
tears of sadness
replace tears of joy
unexpected or expected
the pain
still sears
this cycle of life
