web’s trap

 

the world has changed
in how we communicate
in how we perceive life
in how we relate to our community 
in how we treat each other

more than ever

words have the power to hurt 

images have the power to hurt
without reflection or conscience

blindly toxic
blindly passive aggressive 
blindly transactional connections
blindly speaking
blindly acting

there are those who know nothing different
there are those who remember before
there are those who try to understand and relate
there are those who just can't
at all

we know too much
about each other 
we have too much access 
to each other
we expect too much
too much 

false sense of reality
false sense of accessibility
false sense of entitlement
false sense of power
false sense of belonging
false sense of not belonging too

there is no going back
it is all here to stay
at least a version is
so 
we need to realize all the positives 
we need to keep perspective
we need to keep true to ourselves
we need to remember
that
in the end

it is relationships
tangible being
human connection
the way we treat each other
in person
in writing
the whole human race
as a friend
that matters
